“Go on! Shoot, and we both go down and you win. Go on. I’m dead anyway. I always was, right? I couldn’t tell that until now. How’s that, is that what they want? I can still do this… I can still do this. One more kill. It’s the only thing I know how to do, bringing pride to my district. Not that it matters. ”

thespngames asked: Peeta Mellark or Gale Hawthorne?
The berries from Gale’s POV.
I remember a couple of weeks after I first met her I caught her picking berries. Not nightlock, but they would’ve put her in bed for a couple of days if she’d eaten them. I took them out of her hand and threw them in the stream, and we spent the next couple of days reading over her father’s book of edible plants, making sure we knew what was right and what was wrong. This is wrong. I can’t take those berries from her hand and throw them away. I can’t fight this battle for her. I can’t keep her alive; and christ, she’s really going to do this, isn’t she? I’m with you Catnip, whatever happens now. If you eat those berries I’ll see that they all burn for you, for Prim and for your mother. I hope you know that.
